1. Acceptance of these Terms
By accessing or using DueWallet, you agree to these Terms of Service and the applicable Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use DueWallet.
2. Self-custodial wallet service
DueWallet is designed as a self-custodial digital asset wallet. DueWallet provides software that enables users to interact with supported blockchain networks and related services.
DueWallet does not become the owner of your digital assets merely because you access them through the software.
You remain responsible for your private keys, recovery phrase, wallet credentials, devices, transactions, and digital assets.
3. Eligibility
You may use DueWallet only if you are legally permitted to do so in your jurisdiction and have the legal capacity required to enter into these Terms.
You are responsible for complying with laws, regulations, restrictions, tax obligations, and other requirements that apply to you.
4. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- protecting your recovery phrase and private keys;
- securing your devices and authentication methods;
- maintaining appropriate wallet backups;
- verifying recipient addresses before sending assets;
- selecting the correct blockchain network;
- verifying token and smart-contract information;
- reviewing transaction amounts and network fees;
- determining the legitimacy of third-party applications;
- keeping software and devices updated; and
- complying with applicable law.
5. Blockchain transactions
Blockchain transactions are submitted to decentralized or third-party networks and may be irreversible after submission.
DueWallet cannot generally cancel, reverse, recover, modify, or guarantee a transaction after it has been transmitted to a blockchain network.
Transactions may fail, remain pending, be replaced, experience delays, or require higher network fees because of conditions outside DueWallet's control.
6. Network and service fees
Blockchain networks may require transaction, gas, validator, miner, protocol, bridge, exchange, or other third-party fees.
Fees may vary based on network activity and may change without notice.
Where DueWallet displays estimated fees, those estimates may differ from the final amount charged by the applicable network or service.
7. Third-party services
DueWallet may enable interaction with blockchain networks, decentralized applications, exchanges, wallet-connection protocols, token services, market-data providers, RPC providers, bridges, smart contracts, websites, or other external services.
DueWallet does not control third-party services and does not guarantee their accuracy, security, availability, legality, performance, or continued operation.
Your use of third-party services may be governed by separate terms and privacy policies.
8. Prohibited use
You must not use DueWallet to:
- violate applicable law or regulation;
- engage in fraud, theft, deception, or unauthorized access;
- distribute malicious software;
- attack, overload, disrupt, or interfere with services;
- circumvent security or access restrictions;
- impersonate another person or organization;
- infringe intellectual property rights;
- facilitate unlawful transactions; or
- use DueWallet in a manner that harms other users or systems.
9. Digital asset risks
Digital assets involve substantial risk. Their value may fluctuate significantly and may become worthless.
Risks include smart-contract vulnerabilities, protocol failures, blockchain reorganizations, forks, compromised private keys, phishing, scams, malicious tokens, inaccurate token metadata, lost credentials, regulatory changes, and market volatility.
You assume responsibility for evaluating risks before approving any transaction.
10. No investment, tax, or legal advice
DueWallet provides wallet software and related technical functionality. Information displayed through DueWallet is not investment, financial, tax, accounting, trading, or legal advice.
You are responsible for obtaining appropriate professional advice before making financial or legal decisions.
11. Availability and changes
DueWallet may modify, update, suspend, discontinue, restrict, or replace functionality at any time.
Some features may not be available for every asset, device, operating system, blockchain, jurisdiction, or user.
Blockchain networks and third-party infrastructure can fail or become unavailable without warning.
12. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DueWallet is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
No guarantee is made that DueWallet will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or compatible with every digital asset, blockchain network, device, application, or third-party service.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DueWallet and its operators, contributors, service providers, officers, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from use of or inability to use DueWallet.
This includes, where permitted by law, losses arising from digital asset value changes, failed transactions, lost credentials, compromised wallets, blockchain activity, malicious third parties, third-party services, network failures, or user error.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
14. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless DueWallet and its operators from claims, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses resulting from your unlawful use of DueWallet, violation of these Terms, or infringement of another person's rights.
15. Suspension and termination
Access to hosted services or related infrastructure may be suspended or restricted where reasonably necessary for security, maintenance, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or protection of DueWallet systems and users.
Because DueWallet is self-custodial software, access to your blockchain assets ultimately depends on your valid wallet credentials and the applicable blockchain network.
16. Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be updated to reflect changes in DueWallet, applicable laws, security requirements, features, or technology.
Continued use after updated Terms become effective may constitute acceptance where permitted by applicable law.
17. Applicable law and disputes
Applicable governing-law, venue, arbitration, consumer-rights, and dispute-resolution provisions may depend on the legal entity operating DueWallet and the jurisdictions in which services are offered.
Final jurisdiction-specific provisions should be reviewed by qualified legal counsel before public launch.
